Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 500 gm chicken
- 1 medium onion chopped
- Mint chopped
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon ginger/garlic paste
- 1 red chilli
- 1 bay leaf
- 2-4 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2-4 cardamom
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon chicken masala
- 1 teaspoon biriyani masala
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- 2 tablespoon Curd
- Soak the basmati rice in water for 20 minutes to half an hour.
- Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hr with curd, turmeric, mint,salt, chicken masala ,1 tablespoon oil,red chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and ginger-garlic paste.
- Heat 1 Tablespoon of refined oil in a pressure cooker add whole garam masala (1 bay leaf ,2-4 cloves,1 cinnamon stick ,2-4 cardamom) after 1 minute add chiili and onion Saute the onions, till they turn golden brown.
- Add marinated chicken,salt ,sugar into it ,and cook for 5 minute.
- Add rice and cook for another 3-4 minute mix it well ,add the requisite amount of water.
- Cover the pressure cooker and let it cook on medium heat till the water is absorbed.
- Serve with raita
